The unit is meant to shine light on the UbN Step 7 on Upscaling for local governments as well as regional entities to think of ways on how to upscale NbS and what to consider when doing so. The role of standards is also highlighted here.

Water Management Case (Irish Bog)
This unit covers bog restoration and its role as a Nature-Based Solution for carbon sequestration and water management. The session highlights the importance of protecting and restoring peatlands to mitigate climate change, conserve biodiversity, and manage stormwater. It also introduces the Clonbeale Peatland Conservation Project as a case study for effective NBS implementation.
