Tackling Natural and Climate Hazards with NBS

This Learning Scenario introduces students to the concept of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) as a way to mitigate and adapt to natural and climate hazards such as floods, landslides, and extreme weather events. Through interactive activities, students will explore how ecosystems like wetlands, forests, and mangroves can act as natural shields against hazards. By the end of the lesson, students will design their own NBS project to protect a hypothetical community from a specific hazard.
