NBS Edusystems enhanced by citizens science to achieve social acceptance for the commitment and planning of NBS, the case of Belgrade

We’re excited to invite you to the latest session in the NBS EduWORLD project webinar series! This webinar will focus on steps 4 and 5 of the UrbanByNature programme, exploring how to foster commitment and implement long-term solutions that protect and enhance urban nature and biodiversity.

  • Ana Simic and Ana Mitic will present Belgrade's innovative greening plans and participatory design processes for green corridors, in line with EU policies such as the Urban Nature Plans.
  • Swan Yee Tun Lwin and Berenice von der Goltz, the winners of the Belgrade case of the NBS EduWORLD Hackathon 2024, will team up with Carme Machi Castaner from ICLEI Europe, a sustainability consultant, to present their project in Belgrade. The project integrates environmental science principles, wetland design for riverbank stabilisation and river pollution control, providing an inspiring approach to incorporating NBS.

This webinar is perfect for urban planners, local and regional governments, environmental enthusiasts, and students. Don’t miss this chance to explore innovative, real-world solutions for urban nature and biodiversity protection - register here!
