NBS Education Summit

26 September 2024, 09:30 - 12:30

Brussels and online, Belgium - ICLEI Europe Brussels Office

NBS Education Summit

Save-the-date for the NBS Education Summit, a pivotal conference at the intersection of science, policy, and NBS practice. This hybrid event will present interim insights from the project NBS EduWORLD, culminating in policy recommendations and guidelines for EU policymakers.

Building on the outcomes of the NBS EduCommunity workshops in 2023 and 2024, the summit will focus on the future needs for educational materials and standards, opportunities for rapid adoption of NBS education guidelines, an overview of EU legislative and policy frameworks, and fostering exchange and mutual learning between the members of the NBS education community. The event will feature a distinguished panel of EU policymakers, educators, and NBS experts, followed by an interactive Q&A session with both in-person and online audiences.

This Summit follows the NetworkNature Annual Conference on 25 September, which will focus on "busting myths" related to ecosystem restoration and management. This year’s conference will challenge misconceptions in practice, research, policy-making, and business, demonstrating that restoring nature is both a necessity and an opportunity with numerous benefits, including economic ones. The NBS Education Summit will be held at the ICLEI Europe Brussels Office, with live streaming available. It will be followed by a light lunch. Don't miss this opportunity to shape the future of NBS education and policy!

A detailed agenda and registration link will be available soon. Stay tuned!
