Learningscenario

The sound of silence

In this Learning Scenario (LS) for secondary schools, students learn about noise pollution mitigation by using a free app (e.g., NoiseCapture) to measure and map noise levels in their area and school. They also explore the acoustic performance of sound insulation materials like Vinyl Acetate Ethylene (VAE) and compare synthetic materials with nature-based solutions for reducing noise pollution. Additionally, students explore ways to improve their school's acoustics using a sound app designed to enhance productivity and reduce fatigue.
