A Greener Playground
This Learning Scenario envisions transforming a large, unshaded section of a primary school’s cemented playground in northern Greece into a green oasis for students, teachers, and the community. By utilizing unused spaces to introduce trees, bushes, and benches, the plan aims to create a relaxing environment for socializing, learning, and enjoying nature. Beyond providing much-needed shade on hot summer days, this initiative promotes outdoor, nature-based education, offering opportunities for more engaging and differentiated lessons while enhancing the overall well-being of the school and its surroundings.
